Back-arch rocks

Main points

  • Arms either stretched by ears, bent with hands touching ears, or behind in ‘wings’ position
  • Back arched as high as possible
  • Tighten all muscles in the back of the body including upper back, lower back, glutes, hamstrings and calves
  • Legs must be locked straight
  • Start the rock by dropping shoulders slightly forward, then continue by transferring weight from back to from
  • Maintain body tension at all times
