Recreation Competition (Rec Comp) Group

Gymnasts seen to have potential as a competitive gymnast are chosen to attend Recreational Competition Group sessions. Designed to develop elementary gymnastics techniques, the class focusses on basic gymnastics skills, working with a partner on acrobatic gymnastics moves, and structured competition preparation. Gymnasts must attend a minimum of two training sessions per week, one of which must be a Saturday.

Club Acro 2

Club Acro 2 is designed to further develop gymnasts’ skills and help them learn more advanced skills such as backflips and partner balances. Club Acrobatics gymnasts compete in national development plan competitions and become experienced performers. Gymnasts must attend a minimum of two training sessions per week, one of which must be a Saturday.

Club Acro 1

Club Acro 1 is designed to further develop gymnasts’ skills and perform in higher NDP grades, particularly grades 3-5, moving onto higher level moves such as handstands on hands and somersaults. Club Acro 1 gymnasts also compete in national development plan competitions and must attend a minimum of three training sessions per week.

Squad Acrobatics Potential Group

This group is for younger gymnasts that are identified early on as having exceptional talent and potential. Training in this group is designed to fast-track their fundamental skills in order to prepare them for higher level competition in the future. It therefore requires a high level of commitment to training from an early age. Gymnasts must attend all three training sessions per week.

Squad Acrobatics 2 Group

Squad Acrobatics 2 is a focussed competitive group for gymnasts that we believe have the potential to compete at a higher level. Training intensity is increased, more commitment is expected, and the focus is on perfecting technique. Gymnasts compete in national development plan competitions, British Championships and friendly internationals. Gymnasts must attend all three training session per week.

Squad Acrobatics 1 is a focussed competitive group for gymnasts that we believe have the potential to compete at national and international level. Training intensity is further increased, 100% commitment is a necessity, and the focus is on raising standards to compete against the best in the country. Gymnasts must attend all four training sessions per week.
